What are ethics?
Ethics is our way of ensuring that every decision we take respects the whole person. It means listening, protecting and supporting with humanity, even in complex situations. It's our compass for acting correctly in every situation.
What is the purpose of an ethics committee?
Some situations raise sensitive questions. The ethics committee is there to answer them in a neutral and caring way. It helps us to reflect, to step back and find the most appropriate solution, while respecting the rights of each individual.
Who can appeal to the ethics committee?
Everyone. A patient, a loved one, a member of our team. If something seems unfair, uncertain or worrying, you can ask. There are no wrong questions.
