The “Caregiver Training” (AMD-FA) program was designed specifically to provide you with guidance and equip you with the skills needed to perform these tasks.
- A Customized Program: This training program is planned, structured, and tailored to your specific needs. Whether you need to learn gentle handling techniques (ergonomics) or tips for stimulating a loved one with cognitive impairments, we’ll adapt the program to your needs.
- Guaranteed coverage: This support is covered by Long-Term Care Insurance in the form of an annual allowance of 6 hours (or 360 minutes).
- Who is it for? It is intended specifically for caregivers who face practical difficulties in providing the necessary assistance with their loved one’s daily living activities.
2. Training on Assistive Technology (AMD-FAT): Mastering the Equipment
Installing a hospital bed, a bath board, or a patient lift at home is a great way to promote independence, but this equipment can seem intimidating.
The Long-Term Care Insurance program offers specialized training (AMD-FAT) to advise you and help you become proficient in using the assistive devices provided.
- More Than Just Delivery: Please note that this professional training, provided on an individual basis, should not be confused with the information provided by a supplier during the delivery and installation of an assistive device. It is a genuine learning experience with a healthcare professional.
- Who is it for? It is provided if the person (or their caregiver) has difficulty using the equipment but is able to benefit from the techniques that will be taught to them.

All of our training courses are conducted right in your own home. This is essential, because it is much more effective to learn how to use a patient lift in the actual setting of your own bedroom rather than in a standardized simulation room.
In addition, to give you peace of mind, your dedicated administrative advisor at Verbandskëscht will handle all the necessary procedures. They will liaise with the Assessment and Guidance Unit (CEO) to ensure you receive the training allowances to which you are entitled.

Absolutely. If you feel unsure about its day-to-day use, we can step in to provide you with in-depth training.
